Backup & Disaster Recovery for Business
The only IT question that really matters on a bad day: "When can we be back up?" We make sure the answer is "hours," with proof.
TechFort builds and monitors business backup systems on the 3-2-1 rule: three copies of your data, on two kinds of storage, with one copy off-site and isolated from ransomware. That covers servers, workstations, and Microsoft 365 - and we run scheduled restore tests so recovery is a documented fact, not a hope.
The layers that matter
- Server and workstation backup. Full-image backups so a dead machine becomes an inconvenience, not a rebuild week.
- Off-site, ransomware-isolated copies. If malware on your network can reach the backup, it isn't a backup. Ours it can't reach.
- Microsoft 365 backup. Email, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams - protected beyond Microsoft's short retention windows.
- Monitoring and restore tests. Failed backup jobs get fixed the day they fail. Restores are rehearsed on a calendar, and you see the log.

Common Questions
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?
Three copies of your data, stored on two different types of media, with one copy off-site. It is the simple standard because it survives the realistic disasters: hardware failure, theft, fire, and ransomware.
How often should backups be tested?
Backup jobs should be monitored daily and real restore tests run at least quarterly - monthly for critical systems. The test is the product; an untested backup is a hope with a monthly fee.
